Our student spotlight for this week is Lauren Whan, grade 7. Lauren enjoys her friends and family and strives to get good grades. Her favorite activity in school is volleyball because it makes you work hard and helps to keep up with physical fitness.
She believes James A. Garfield is a great district because the teachers make it fun to learn. Lauren would like to be a police officer when she grows up.
The core value that she likes the most is creativity because it make kids think out of the box. Thinking outside the box can help kids in many ways like trying to get better at drawing and in class.
