JAG Middle School Athletes Shine Off Campus on the Big Stage!
We’re celebrating some incredible accomplishments from our middle school student-athletes who have been making major moves this spring!
Ava Dobay (8th Grade - Track & Field)
Ava proudly represented JAG Middle School at the OATCCC Indoor State Track Meet on March 15th at Muskingum College and earned 2nd place with a personal record throw of 34’3”—the top indoor mark of her career! Ava is now competing in the outdoor season and already making noise. She recently set her outdoor PR at 33’1” and placed 1st at the Boardman Spartan Early Bird Junior High Invitational with a strong throw of 32’. Great job Ava!
Colton Cuddy (7th Grade - Wrestling)
Colton has had a dominant season on the mat! He took 1st place in the 93-pound weight class at the OAC March Matness Middle School Tournament on March 8 in Zanesville. He also qualified for the OAT State Meet at the Covelli Centre (March 22) and the Viper Pit Nationals in Triadelphia, WV (April 5–6), where he battled through 9 matches and came away with 6 wins! Colton continues to build a name for himself with each competition—amazing work!
Rylan May (8th Grade - Gymnastics)
Rylan is turning heads in the gymnastics world! On March 28, he competed at the Ohio Gymnastics State Championship at the Ohio Expo Center and took 1st place in the high bar, parallel bars, and pommel horse. That impressive showing earned him a spot at the USA Gymnastics Region 5 Championships in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he placed 8th on rings and 10th on high bar—qualifying him for the National Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 25, where he will compete in all events. Go Rylan!
Way to go, Ava, Colton, and Rylan! Your hard work, dedication, and accomplishments are making JAG proud! It's a great time to be a G-Man!
