Thanks to a connection made by JAG seventh grade science teacher Mrs. Giammo, our students had an out-of-this-world experience as representatives from NASA visited their science class. Students worked with a COSI Space Kit to gather data on the moon and learn about the challenges astronauts face when returning to Earth. One key task was designing a parachute, a vital safety feature for astronauts during re-entry. Using their engineering skills, students crafted and tested their own parachutes to ensure a safe landing for their astronauts.
Thank you again to our guest speakers for taking time out of their day to share their expertise and resources with our students. It was an exciting day filled with hands-on learning and creative problem-solving! It's a great time to be a G-Man!
Go G-Men!
