On Friday, November 3rd, nine of our middle school students were selected to attend the Portage County Youth Leadership Seminar at the Garrettsville YMCA. This yearly event brings middle school students from across the county together with their high school mentors to learn about leadership, communication, and teamwork, setting them on a path for personal growth and community impact.
Throughout the day, the students actively participated in group discussions, workshops, and team-building exercises. These activities were thoughtfully designed to foster their leadership capabilities and encourage collaboration among peers. The mentors led discussions on leadership strategies, and the students absorbed the wisdom and knowledge shared.
As the day concluded, these middle school students left the Portage County Youth Leadership Seminar with newfound confidence, a deepened understanding of leadership, and a determination to make a positive difference. They are ready to take on the challenges of the world and contribute to their communities in meaningful ways.
Special thanks to Mrs. Scirocco for joining our student group on this great experience and to Portage County for providing this opportunity for our students. It's a great time to be a G-Man! Go G-Men!
