Emma Scherick, a member of the Class of 2024, has been honored with the National School Choral Award, recognizing her exceptional leadership and dedication to the choir. Scherick’s commitment to the choir program has made a significant impact, showcasing her talent and inspiring her peers.
In May, Scherick’s achievements were further highlighted when she was invited to the JAG Student Media studio to film a pilot segment for GGtv’s new ‘Studio Spotlight’ series showcasing student performances. During this segment, she performed her Class A Mezzo-Soprano Solo, a beautiful rendition of the traditional French song “Au bord de l’eau”.
To perfect this piece, Scherick worked with Mr. Logan and Mrs. Chylsta, as part of her preparation for the OMEA Solo and Ensemble competition. Their guidance, and her dedication, resulted in a flawless performance that captivated the audience and showcased her exceptional vocal abilities.
