For the past eight weeks we have been preparing you for the start of this year. That date is now upon us and we are excited to welcome our students back to school next week.
We will start school face to face, five days a week. We will have a slow start, with only students in group A attending next Tuesday and only students in group B attending Wednesday. All students in grades 1-12 will begin school on Thursday, September 10th.
Our kindergarten and preschool students will begin five days a week on Monday, September 14th.
I would also like to share a few important dates coming up this week. If your family elected to learn online for the first semester there will be a virtual orientation this Thursday from 4-5pm for K-5 students and from 5:30-6:30 for 6-12 students. Our online Academy Coordinator, Mr. Bartz, will be sending an email out to parents explaining how to join the orientation.
If you are learning online and do not have a computer to use, you can pick up a Chromebook on Friday, September 4th from 11-noon or from 4-5pm at the event entrance.
Bus routes have been posted on the district website. You can view them clicking here. Our drivers will be driving the routes this week as part of their training and making any necessary adjustments. If you have any questions about your routes you can contact the bus garage at 330.527.4250.
Finally, I wanted to share with you that orders placed through our online safety store will be arriving today. They will be available for pickup this Friday at the event entrance from 11-noon or 4-5pm. All items except for those needing to be customized have been shipped. We hope to receive these items before Friday, but if we do not we will ensure you receive them as soon as they do arrive.
In closing, we have spent the last six months preparing for the opening of schools. Our teams have planned, prepared and practiced. Not only are we ready, we are excited to start the 2020 school year next week. We look forward to seeing all of our kids and wish everyone a very safe and happy start to this school year.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.
Have a great day, and Go G-Men!
