JAG Nation - A few important updates regarding the ongoing closure of our schools due to Covid-19:
First, thank you to the United Methodist Church for their daily delivery of hot meals to nearly 100 of our students over our spring break. On Monday, March 30 we will hold our second food distribution for our students. We are distributing five breakfast and lunch meal packs at this time. We will have two pickups, both outside the PD Center at the elementary school. The first pickup will be between 10am and noon and our second will be from 5pm-7pm.
I want to stress that these pickups are for any family, not just those who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Also, if you require delivery it can be requested by calling 330.527.4336.
Second, there has been some discussion that the order to close schools may be extended. At this point we do know that we cannot return on April 6 and plan on returning on April 7. If this were to change, our teachers will be updating our Alternative Learning Plans to accommodate any extended closure. These will be shared with you and posted on our website by the end of the day on April 7. Updated materials will also be made available for pickup beginning April 8.
On behalf of our entire staff I would like to thank each of you for your continued support and understanding during this uncertain time. Regardless of how long this may last, we are committed to supporting our students and families.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.
Be safe.
Go G-Men!
